Our business was founded by the Havlice and Kral families at 19th Street and Racine Avenue. In 1930 the Kral and Adolf Funeral Home opened at the corner of 19th and Miller Streets and continued there until 1960. Advantage of that and guides you in the right direction. This made this very sad time a little easier to get through knowing we were being guided by John and his staff, namely Donna.

John was recommended to us and I am so glad we made the right decision. On the day of the wake and the funeral everything was in place and all ran very smoothly. Dorothy grew up tested by the Great Depression and World War II. She loved to dance and at a young age volunteered as a USO hostess to dance with on-leave members of the U.S. armed forces.
She was right there to answer any questions we might have had without hesitation. The facilities are beautiful, the coffee room is good size and there is even a little room where the children can play. We had a good size group and did not feel over crowded. I would not hesitate to recommend Adolf Funeral Home.

Dorothy is fondly remembered for her loving friendliness, humor, loyalty, honesty, generosity, and her ability to always have a good time. Joanne’s interests included showing German Shepherd Dogs and eventually American Saddle Bred Horses. She was an avid reader of fiction, loved antiquing with friends and was a member of the Collectors Club of Hinsdale.
